Believing design is the key association between humans and objects, Egbert-Jan Lam of Burojet created the Blue Hemstitch Wood Pendant. The shape of each pendant resembles the mosques of Mali. With every panel cut and placed together by hand, each Blue Hemstitch Wood Pendant is a truly unique experience.
Veneer lengths are crafted in a traditional sewing fashion: by marking out a pattern, cutting it and then repeating, so producing an individual lamp. Light shines through the lamps’ visible hemstitching, cleverly simulating the embellished stitches found on cloth. Following the environmental design philosophy, every light is made from sustainably harvested wood certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
